ISO9001:2000

The ISO 9001:2000 is an international family of specifications and standards for quality assurance management set by International Organization for Standardization (ISO). An organization certified for ISO 9001:2000 means that an accredited agency has evaluated the organization and has certified that it meets the ISO 9001:2000 requirements.

ISO 9001 applies to all types of organizations and can help both product and service oriented organizations achieve standards of quality that are recognized and respected throughout the world. ISO 9001 2000 has replaced the old ISO 9001 1994 standard. In addition, the old ISO 9002 1994 and ISO 9003 1994 quality standards have been discontinued and are obsolete now.

Customer Focus: Understanding needs and requirements and striving to exceed customer expectations
Leadership: Establishing unity of purpose and organizational direction in an environment where people are involved in achieving the organizations objectives
Involvement of People: Full involvement of people to enable greater business benefit from their abilities
Process Approach: Managing activities and resources as a process
System Approach To Management: Identifying, understanding and managing interrelated processes as a system in an effective and efficient manner to achieve the organizations objectives
Continual Improvement: The overall performance of the organization is continually improved upon
Factual Approach To Decision Making: Organizations decisions are based on accurate data analysis and information
Mutually Beneficial Supplier Relationships: Relationships are developed to enhance the abilities of both the supplier and customer


ISO 9001: 2000 at Global Landmark


At Global Landmark we have embedded Quality in the way we do our business and hence our Quality Management System is referred to as the BMS or the Business Management system. The BMS ensures that the processes across the organization are consistent and person independent.
Global Landmark was certified to ISO-9001:1997 in 1999 and certified to the ISO-9001: 2000 standards in 2002.
